How do I give access to my website to my web designer?

If you’re on this page, it probably means you’ve hired me to design your website (or if you haven’t that’s okay too!) and I’ve asked you to give me access to your website builder. Rather than ask you to share your login & password (which could be a security risk), there’s a way you can add me as a contributor. Here’s how to do it depending on your website builder:

Showit

1. Sign in to your Showit account here
2. Click on your name in the bottom left corner > Manage Account > Account > scroll down to ‘Contributor access’
3. Enter my email address (hello@lucymcreative.com) and click ‘Share design access’

WordPress

1. Sign in to your WordPress account
2. Click on ‘Users’ on the left > Add new user
3. Enter a username (Lucy will do!) and my email address (hello@lucymcreative.com)
4. Make sure ‘Send the new user an email about their account’ is ticked so I get notified
5. Select ‘Administrator’ from the dropdown and click ‘Add new user’

Wix

1. Sign in to your Wix account here
2. Click on ‘Settings’ on the left > Roles & Permissions > Invite collaborator (blue button in the top right corner)
3. Enter my email address (hello@lucymcreative.com)
4. Select ‘Website Manager’ under Roles and click ‘Send invite’ (blue button in the top right corner)

Squarespace

1. Sign in to your Squarespace account here
2. Open the ‘Permissions & Ownership’ panel and click on ‘Invite contributor’
3. Enter my email address (hello@lucymcreative.com)
4. Switch the toggle to ‘Administrator’  and click ‘Invite’
