Wedding suppliers SEO blogging tips for beginners

In this blog post I’m going to give you my best Wedding suppliers SEO blogging tips for beginners. Blogging is one of the best ways to improve your website’s SEO and get found by your ideal clients. But what should you write about, and how do you make sure it actually helps your website rank on Google?

Follow these steps:

Wedding suppliers SEO blogging tips

Step 1: Choose a wedding blog topic that helps with SEO

Here are my two favourite types of blog posts to help with SEO:

1️⃣ Venue/location specific blog posts

💡 Why? These posts help you rank for searches like “[Venue/location Name] Wedding [Supplier Type]”. If couples are searching for their venue/location, they might find your blog and book you!

🔹 Best for: Wedding photographers, videographers, florists, planners, and any suppliers who work on-site at venues.

🔹 What to include:
✅ Mention the venue name multiple times in a natural way
✅ Describe the wedding (season, style, colours, details)
✅ Talk about your experience working there (e.g., best photo spots, logistics tips)
✅ Add alt text to images with the venue name (e.g., “Bride and groom at Hedsor House”)

2️⃣ Tips & Advice blog posts

💡 Why? Couples often search for wedding planning tips. By answering their questions, you build trust and attract potential clients who haven’t booked their suppliers yet.

Examples:

  • “My top 3 Bridal Makeup Preview tips” (for makeup artists)
  • “5 must-have wedding stationery items you might forget” (for stationers)
  • “The best first dance songs for a magical wedding” (for DJs)

🔹 Best for: Any wedding supplier!

🔹 What to include:
✅ A clear, helpful answer to a common wedding planning question
✅ An SEO keyphrase that matches what couples might search
✅ Your expert tips based on real experience
✅ A subtle call to action (e.g., “Looking for a wedding planner to help with your timeline? Get in touch!”)

Step 2: Optimise your wedding supplier blog for SEO

Once you’ve chosen your topic, here’s how to make sure it helps your SEO:

Pick a Keyphrase for Your Blog Post

  • Choose a phrase your ideal client might search.
  • Example: “[Hedsor House] Summer Wedding” or “Bridal Makeup Preview tips”

Use the Keyphrase in These Places:

  • Blog title (e.g., “Elegant [Hedsor House] Summer Wedding”)
  • First paragraph of your blog
  • A couple of times throughout the text (but keep it natural!)
  • The URL (e.g., yourwebsite.com/hedsor-house-summer-wedding/)
  • Image alt text (e.g., “Bride and groom at Hedsor House on their summer wedding day”)

Break It Up with Subheadings (H2 & H3 Tags)
Google likes well-structured posts. Use headings to break up your text:

  • H1 (Main Title) – The title of your blog post
  • H2s (Subheadings) – Each main section of the blog
  • H3s (Smaller Subsections) – Bullet points or extra details

Make It Engaging & Useful

  • Write in a conversational, easy-to-read style.
  • Share personal experiences, examples, and expert insights.
  • Add a call to action at the end (e.g., “Want to book your wedding flowers? Let’s chat!”).

Step 3: Publish & share your blog

Once your blog is live, make sure people see it!

📌 Share on Social Media – Post a few photos and link to the blog on Instagram and Facebook
📌 Pin to Pinterest – Create a few Pinterest pins linking to the blog.
📌 Send to Your Email List – If you have an email list, send a quick email with a link to the post.
📌 Link Between Your Blogs – If you write another blog about a similar topic, link back to it for extra SEO points!

SEO Disclaimer: it takes time!

SEO isn’t instant – it can take months for Google to rank your blog. The more blog posts you write, the better your chances of ranking over time.

To boost your SEO even more:
✅ Keep blogging regularly (even once a month helps!)
✅ Add alt text to every image
✅ Share your blogs on social media
✅ Consider hiring an SEO expert for in-depth optimisation (my recommendations are Nowhere to No 1 and Karen Julia)

I hope these wedding suppliers SEO blogging tips help! The more you blog, the better your SEO will be over time. So, if you want more dream clients to find you, start writing!
